Privacy Policy
PullCord doesn't collect your data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking, in the app or on this website.
Who we are
PullCord is a Mac app made by Kaan Kızıltuğ. Questions about this policy go to hello@pullthecord.app.
The app
- Nothing leaves your Mac. PullCord has no servers of its own and sends no data anywhere. Your chosen cord, colours and settings are stored on your Mac only.
- Switching Light and Dark. macOS asks once whether PullCord may control System Events. PullCord uses that permission for one thing: switching the appearance between Light and Dark. It doesn't read data from System Events or from any other app. You can turn the permission off any time in System Settings, Privacy & Security, Automation.
- Purchases. Cords bought in the Mac App Store version are sold through Apple's in-app purchase. Apple handles the payment; we never see your name, card or Apple Account details, only whether this Mac's Apple Account owns a cord pack, so the app can unlock it. Apple's own privacy policy covers the purchase.
- Crash reports. If you share crash reports and analytics with developers in macOS, Apple may pass anonymous crash reports for PullCord to us. They contain no personal information, and we use them only to fix bugs.
This website
- The site has no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts. Your Light or Dark choice is kept in your browser's local storage, on your device.
- The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the pages and protect against abuse; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- If you e-mail us, we use your address and message only to reply to you, and delete them when they're no longer needed.
Children
PullCord collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
